Reviving FrozenShock

What are some of your ideas for us to make FrozenShock as good or better than it was during the first few years? I would like to get back into the community but everything changes and I do not know many people anymore. Open to any suggestions. We still have 3 severs that I know of and I am paying for 1 of them.

let regulars have admin so they can take care of shit in game

add new maps take out old ones

introduce a new mapvote system perhaps? the cycle is really old
you can have it so people cant nomi maps played like 5 maps ago

The biggest problem that I see is the map rotation. Either a few more maps need added to the rotation, or a map vote needs to be set up.

The servers need to have the logs deleted and then they need restarted. (this needs done like once every month or two.) This would help hit registry and lag a little.

I would be a bit hesitant about giving out admin to regs for free. I know I'm not on a whole lot, but when I am I rarely see any problems. Usually the only map I have any problems on is cbble and that's because humans just ledge way to much there. There are a few admins on the servers a lot. A few of them really go unnoticed because they only use their "powers" when they need to.

One suggestion that I would make is having a pure cs server. As of right now there's usually only 1 server that's populated. Overall the war3 community is dwindling. We should either convert one of the war3ft servers to pure cs or gungame. I think both, or either, would bring a lot more players here.

I agree with Mario and Ali; to an extent. I agree that some people should be given admin, only if they've proven themselves to be trusted and the admin should be regulated, and in, start off with c_say, then slay, then kick, then move on to banning, ect.. And there are a few admins who get away with their powers that should be checked into, as of now.

There also should be, as Ali stated, a mapvote with alot more maps in the server. We need fun maps, like Mice_final and ect to really show off what WC3 is ment to do, take advantage of big maps. We need to get rid of very small maps like office, and maps that people dont really like, like cs_assault.

With what Mario said, I think you can do that yourself. Make server 3 into a 24/7 Dust or take off WC3 and put in rollthedice and tripmines or something. As of right now WC3 is dead in the water from Grammation. ( Even when Grammation was admin/owner, he still got people in on Scoutzknivez3 )

All in all, it doesn't need a COMPLETE overhaul, just some issues that everyone complains about.

personally i feel like some of the "fun" is being taken away from the ledging rules we have. some spots are within reason,
but spots you can get to with just normals jumps? or even a team boost. One of the things i feel needs to be redone, personal opinion though i could live either way

i always join server 3 when aimakcolt is da map but everyone leaves after it changes... dunno why

Regardless of what anyone thinks or says... FrozenShock is still the number 1 populated WC3FT servers. It sure beats the population of [sFx], Teampwn and what ever other servers/gimmick there is. I see server 2 populated once in a while so as server 1. The only thing that needs implemented is few a new maps... including de, fy, and cs maps. I suggest removing italy and assault_upc and put some old maps back like vertigo, survivor etc... I suggest adding awp_city, scoutzknives, fy_snow, awp_dust. Add a nom/rtv system to make it easier for regulars.

Sejje get a hold of Jynx for me and I can easily get this done.

ALSO to help populate the other servers enabling a
/server
command would help a lot
also i i think these servers used to run advertisements for forums and websites, bring those back as well as a message that we do have two other servers...

u should do a better job with servers. there arent many admins that actually do their jobs.

better reg will also attract players.
